A medical health insurance valid in Malaysia .

The successful applicant cannot seek gainful employment in Malaysia unless he possesses special expertise and obtains the permission of the Malaysian government .

Term & Condition

Financial Requirement
A fixed deposit of USD75000 or equivalent amount in Ringgit Malaysia

After one year period , participant can apply to withdraw part of this amount for house and car purchase as well as invest in local share market.

Note :
A new condition to be fully implemented from April 1st,2006.From now untill March 31st , applicants can choose to apply under the new financial condition or the old condition. Please refer to Immigration Department at www.imi.gov.my to apply for Malaysia My Second Home Programme.

Insurance Coverage
Applicants must possess a valid medical insurance policy from any insurance company that is applicable in Malaysia . The list of licensed insurer , their addresses and contact numbers are available at Central Bank Of Malaysia (www.bnm.gov.my)

Education
Applicants are allowed to bring along their dependants (children) under 18 years old either not schooling or are schooling in primary , secondary or in any Institution of Higher Learning . However , dependants who are schooling are required to apply for a Student Pass to continue their education in schools or Institution of Higher Learning recognized by Malaysian Government . Please refer to Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia (www.mohe.gov.my) for a complete list of all private institutions of learning .

Taxes
Successful applicants are bound by the polices , systems and regulations of taxes of this country , and they do not have exemption qualifications as granted to Diplomatic Missions in Malaysia . Please refer to Inland Revenue Board Malaysia (www.hasil.org.my) for the tax system .
Tax exemption is given to pension remitted into Malaysia . Applicants must obtain the endorsement from the Authorities in their country of origin as to the total amount of yearly pension received . A copy of this year letter has to be submitted in their application for tax exemption .

Trains

For lang distance trains, the KL Sentral Station is the place for embarkation and disembarkation. Although trains still pass by the old main train station, they do not stop there. One can however purchase a RM1.00 ticket at the old main train station and board the KTM commuter train to get to the KI Sentrol station. The journey takes about 5 minutes. From there, the 1<1MB (long distance train) will take one to get to the destination of choice
The original KL main train station is today the point of convergence for the city commuter trains. Services by public buses and taxis are still available at the main train station. For more information the KIM hotline to call is 03-22671200.
