Pulau Dayang Bunting

pulau-dayang-bunting.jpg

Located southwest of Langkawi Island, this small island is covered with green lush forests. In the centre of the island lies a large and beautiful lake named Tasik Dayang Bunting (“Lake of the Pregnant Lady”). The hills that form the backdrop to the lake looks like the outline of the body of a pregnant woman who is lying down on her back. Some locals believe couples that cannot conceive should drink the water from the lake. By doing so they will be blessed with a child. Quiet and peaceful, with clear and cool waters surrounding the island, Pulau Dayang Bunting is ideal for those who relish swimming in cold waters.
